A New Religion Of The New World

Hi everybody… hope u’r all doing great… unlike me… I’m still suffering frm Monday blues eventhough its Tuesday… that’s because my Monday was a holiday and my brain thought it was a Sunday and now it thinks today is Monday which its not… its Tuesday….so I have the Monday blues… I knw… I knw.. absolutely weird…
first of all many thanks to joel for being the first person to comment on my blog... and i'll take care not to do wat u told me not to do... lol...but really thanks a lot...
Well since it was a national holiday yesterday we did not get our newspapers today… I don’t really get this trend its not like there’s no news to report on a holiday…. Anyways.. when the paper did not arrive this morning I was surprised that I had a feeling of emptiness a void … I really love reading the paper…not just the news news but also the celebrity gossip in the entertainment section…. Now ‘I’ read that section because that’s wat everybody is usually talking about and its pretty hillarious at times… paris hilton’s latest typical bimbo statement… lindsay lohan’s DUI…. Britney spears’s child custody battles… celeb couples in splitsville… the list’s way too long…. AND that got me thinking what is it that we love about these lives of the rich and famous????… the money?? The luxury??? The variety??? Or is it just plain a “living vicariously through another person” thing???….
CELEBRITY WORSHIP…
That’s wat I’m talking about today….i really don’t get it… why do we have so many people blindly following and believing things these ppl say… why do we look up to them… I mean I totally agree that they entertain us … but that’s it that’s wat they do… nothing more…
Sometimes ist not just worship its pure idolising… and let me tell u half these people are not worth idolising… really people good looks are not that hard to achieve… a little bit of make-uup and some branded clothes…. The fashion spreads in magazines have lots of lighting at various “perfecting” angles… oooh and don’t forget the fans…. That angelic hair flow… it’s the fans…. So if its just because of good looks then ditch them… and worship yourself…
The real thing is , These celebs have big fabulous and glitzy lifestyles and that’s wat almost eveyone wants… so by celeb worship we think that somehow we might get noticed too and be able to get some part of that glitz and glamour… or some others are plain jealous of the celebs…. and a very alarming number of people claim to be in love with them… for example the girls with “marry me Zac” posters… and the dudes who want autographs on their butts… those are three very broad categories of celeb worshippers….
I have had my celeb worship days too… I have been in “love” with a lot of stars daniel radcliffe, zac efron, jesse mccartney, johnathan rhys mayers, hrithik roshan, ranbir kapoor, …. Many many more… believe me. My crushes changed every other week… with every other movie that I saw…
But the thing to realise is that wat we see is just one side of the coin… the kind of lives that these people lead is absolutely stressfull… ok yeah…. Everyone’s life is stressed these days but I don’t know somehow I don’t find their lives very welcoming… I mean think about it… everytime u step out of your house there are paparazzi poking cameras into your face… u’r very personal embarassing moment turns into a wordwide joke…. Its seriously twisted….
Celebrity worship is some times pretty dangerous when it turns to celeb stalking… now that is a serious problem…
keeping track of your favourite celeb’s movies or his girlfriends that’s not a problem… but checking out every picture put up on the net about his outings that’s not really cool… put yourself in their shoes and think about it… I’m sure u’ll understand…
Why not use all that time that you waste in browsing through someone else’s life in to doing something with your own life… make ‘your’ life browsable…

MY personal fashion rules

heya
so i just had to put up a new post...
i've been checking out other blogs and damn everybody's got something to say... i'm following almost every blog i visited... lol
so... oh yeah!! ... fashion...
ok... i'll tell u abt how i see or perceive fashion...
to me fashion is really not more than clothes... accesorising and all that is fine but puhhlease i really don't have the time or money for accesories... do u knw how costly good accessories are???
i'd rather buy a new t-shirt....
but clothes minus the accesories say a lot ...

1. rule 1: BE YOU... i really cant stress tht enough .. i mean u'r an individual so why not u'r clothes... u'r are a very important part of u'r whole personality... u can tell an artist and a lawyer apart instantly... why??... cuz of their clothes... they have specific dressing styles... or they like specific styles... some lawyers wear sneakers with their suits now thts a cool lawyer but the one with leather shoes... tht is an uptight lawyer...
2. rule 2: stay away frm trends... far far away... some trends are good... some not so good... i read this in cosmo once... " if u see someone wearing one piece of clothing or jewellery thts really "in" then tht person is into trends thts good.... two pieces then they are really into trends... three pieces... they need to be warned... call fashion police... 4 pieces.... stay away.. thts a fashion victim"... well it wasn't exactly this... but thts sorta wat they wanted to say...
3. rule 3: comfort... very important... if u'r not comfortable with wat u'r wearing then u'r probably not gonna have a good time or concentrate on wat u'r doing... and tht little tugging of the skirt doesn't really go unnoticed... so once u've worn something don't play with it... let it stay where it is... try to "get" comfortable with in it... or u can always make a "its cold" excuse and borrow u'r boyfriend's jacket...
4. rule 4:plan u'r ensemble beforehand...don't try and match anything and everything at the last moment... wen in tht situation pull out tht "fallback option" dress tht always makes u look gorgeous(plz don't tell me u don't got one).... most importantly wear the right dress in the right place... no minis at formal dos please... even if its u'r"style"... thts not wat i meant by individuality....
5. rule 5: check the front AND THE BACK... the ass cheeks... and bra showing is seriously uncool... specially at formal or semi formal events.... when going casual... u can turn anything cool..
6. rule 6: be confident... THE most important thing...wen u don't feel like 'U' are the hottest chick around... turn into someone else pretend to be a sexy hot chic tht every guy's got his eyes on... just like beyonce's sorta alternate persona sasha...

thts all i could think of right now... hope this is a bit helpful... and i'll elaborate on these rules in future posts... so keep following...

A Major Fashion Disaster

my second post...
not many readers... actually no readers... lol
this one is gonna be about FASHION....
First things first i'm not gonna tell u wat latest trends this season are... i'm not telling u who dresses better miley cyrus or selena gomez... not even which are the biggest fashion disasters...

not this time at east.. maybe some other time when i have a few more readers.
SO, fashion....
fashion is not, according to me, all about the "trends".
seriously, the only thing one can do wrong with fashion or clothes as i would put it is follow a fashion trend blindly. People when something is not you then it just isn't. with that kind of clothing all u end up looking like is a wanna be. nothing more maybe something even worse(prosy).
like i'll give u an example i went to this event sort of a buffet today. all friends and ppl i know. there were these three sisters now its not like they are not good looking or dont have a personality. they are all really nice girls.
now we have all at different times in our lives coordinated clothes with our friends and siblings. but this was an absolute kller.
All three of them were wearing skinny jeans.. thts all good... but here's the next part... all of them decided to wear short t-shirts with the jeans.... thts ok too... but then this was a "sit down" buffet... and when they sat down all three together u had three pairs of pretty visible ass cheeks... how's that for a disaster???
i really wish i had shot tht one.......
all i'm saying is think about wat u'r wearing not about wat vanessa hudgens or ashley tisdale's wearing....
